West High School is a comprehensive high school with an early college model that encourages students to pursue their post secondary goals. Our vision is to lead for Equity and Justice and our mission is to dismantle systemic racism by cultivating an inclusive school environment that provides a personalized education to every student with the opportunity to engage in rigorous college & career coursework and experiences.
Students have the opportunity to take college courses through concurrent enrollment alongside their high school diploma and earn up to 60 college credits to advance their post secondary goals. As a small school, students have the benefit of a small community with the benefits of a comprehensive high school model with elective offerings, athletics and community partnerships.
West High School has a thriving multilingual education program as a Transitional Native Language Instruction (TNLI) program school. We believe that speaking more than one language is an asset that should be developed through our biliteracy programming and AP Spanish coursework.
Denver West High School has embodied the principles of inclusivity and access to educational offerings for all students.
