Prospective Families: Apply to West High School!
DPS believes every family should have equitable access to the schools they feel are the best fit for their student, regardless of their background or where they live in Denver.
Students who live within the West High School boundary are guaranteed a seat at our school for 2026-27. To find out if West High School is your boundary (or “neighborhood”) school, enter your address into the School Finder. If you do not live within our boundary, you can still apply to attend by submitting a SchoolChoice application.
The 2026-27 SchoolChoice application close at 4pm on Jan. 20, 2026. We highly encourage families to participate in Round 1 for the best chance of getting matched to your preferred school.
Steps to Apply:
1. Visit schoolchoice.dpsk12.org/apply.
2. Create an account or, if you're a parent of a current DPS student, use your Parent Portal username and password to login.
3. Rank up to 12 of your most-preferred schools anytime during the Choice window.
The SchoolChoice system then matches students to schools based on their preferences, as well as school admission priorities and available space. Families will be notified of placement results and waitlist positions in late February.
