West High School offers scholars:
Career and College Readiness- We provide specialized instruction and intervention that supports students exploring college and careers options.
Pathways and Internships- Our goal is to help students identify their passions, explore what they love doing, and consider ways to pursue a career in that realm.
Biliteracy Education- All students, including English Learners, are encouraged to pursue the DPS Seal of Biliteracy. This is an award in recognition of students who have attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation.
International Programming- We offer world language courses, including Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese and Lakota. The Travel Club at West offers two to three international trips per year and one domestic trip for students to experience different cultures.
West High School leads for Social Justice & Equity. Our mission is to dismantle systemic racism by cultivating an inclusive school environment that provides a personalized education to every student with the opportunity to engage in rigorous college & career coursework and experiences.
